Beijing - the seat of power and influence

As the capital city of China, Beijing holds political authority over economic and infrastructure development decisions affecting the entire country. It is a city steeped in history, culture and ceremony, built to inspire and govern with the mandate of Heaven. Beijing served as the capital for several dynasties during the last 3,000 years.

Today, Beijing is one of the biggest industrial bases in China, and a hub of communications with good rail, road and air links to all parts of China, and major cities in the world. Its new airport terminal is the world's largest, with floor space 17% larger than all of London's Heathrow terminals combined.

Beijing is also well known as a center for culture, education, science and technology, and international exchange. It is host to more than 140 foreign embassies and has over 40 state scientific research institutions, over 30 universities and numerous exhibition halls, museums and cinemas. The National Library of China is the largest library in Asia.

Against this rich backdrop, InfoComm China 2011 is well set up to meet exhibitors' expectations for three days of business building in China.
