Types of Sessions

  • Presentation: Technical content delivered by one or two speakers with key tips, solutions and takeaways. Includes time for audience Q&A.
  • Panel: A discussion of current trends or technology development from different perspectives with no more than 5 total speakers, including moderator. Includes time for audience Q&A.

Learning Levels

Your topic should be tailored to InfoComm’s target audiences, including technology managers and end users as well as AV/IT designers, integrators, and engineers.

  • Advanced – suitable for attendees with extensive experience in the topic area covered by the session.  
  • Intermediate – suitable for attendees with exposure and some experience in the topic area covered by the session.
  • Introductory – suitable for attendees with little to no prior exposure to the topic area covered by the session. 

Submission Guidelines

  • Speakers should ensure that the submission content is relevant to the AV industry and its communities.
  • When submitting topic(s), speakers should keep in mind that InfoComm attendees should walk away with action items, best practices, and creative ideas they can implement right away.
  • Note for Suppliers: If you are an industry supplier submitting a proposal, you will not be considered unless you are a contracted Beijing InfoComm China 2026 exhibitor. Preference is given to suppliers who include an integrator or end user as a co-presenter. See the FAQs for more info on the supplier speaker policy.

What is the selection process?

Sessions are evaluated by Beijing InfoComm China Content Team and a group of volunteer subject matter experts with many years of industry experience. Recommendations for inclusion are based on proposal quality, presenter/facilitator expertise, alignment with requested topics, and suitability for the InfoComm audience. Typically, more presentations are submitted than can be accepted. Final acceptance is also dependent on space availability and proposal uniqueness.

What are the selection criteria?

Presentations must be tailored for AV professionals, showing evidence of material that will make a significant contribution to the development of attendees’ professional capabilities and knowledge of the field.     

Submissions are evaluated on the following criteria: 

  • Complete presentation submission, submitted by the deadline. 
  • Session learning level is appropriate for the audience and topic. 
  • Identification of three actionable learner outcomes that complete the following the sentence: After participating in this session, attendees will be able to: 
  • Session is designed to encourage audience questions, interaction, and participation. 
  • Presenters or panelists have in-depth topic knowledge. 
  • Content is focused, current, practical, or innovative. 
Where will my submission be presented?

Most accepted CFP submissions are presented in the Beijing InfoComm China Education Program, which offers over 50 vendor neutral technical and professional training sessions. Beijing InfoComm China education sessions are attended by over 2,000 industry professionals.

Is there any charge to submit or present training at Beijing InfoComm China?

There’s no charge to submit, and as long as your presentation is vendor-neutral there’s no charge to present. If you would like to talk specifically about the amazing things your company is doing, contact your Beijing InfoComm China Account Manager to learn about Manufacturers’ Training and Content Sponsorships.

Can I discuss specific products or brands in my session?

This is a fine line: excluding manufacturer’s training sessions, Beijing InfoComm China sessions cannot promote the products or services of any specific company. They also shouldn’t deride any specific vendor. Discussing multiple vendors that can support a technical need is considered best practice.

What is the Supplier Speaker Policy?

A Supplier Speaker refers to a speaker who has a commercial interest in the audience attending InfoComm and who is considered as a potential InfoComm exhibitor. Supplier Speakers will not be considered eligible to present to a formal InfoComm audience except in the following situations: 

  • Supplier Speaker is an exhibitor/supplier who has paid to exhibit in the Beijing InfoComm China exhibition.  
  • Supplier Speaker is non-exhibitor who has paid for a non-exhibitor sponsorship in the Beijing InfoComm China exhibition.  
  • Supplier Speaker is invited by Beijing InfoComm China Content Team due to needed expertise on a particular topic.
How good are my acceptance?

The Beijing InfoComm China Call for Presenters is very competitive: less than 50% of submissions are selected. 

What are the benefits of presenting at Beijing InfoComm China?

You mean besides supporting the industry you love? Presenting at Beijing InfoComm China boosts your professional visibility and positions you as a thought leader in the AV industry. It also offers valuable networking opportunities, and a platform to influence industry trends across Asia’s fast-growing AV and tech ecosystem.

Does Beijing InfoComm China cover travel expenses for accepted speakers?

Submitters whose session(s) are offered an invitation to present at InfoComm are responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs.

Can I invite my colleagues and clients to attend my session?

Yes, you can absolutely invite your colleagues and clients to attend your session at Beijing InfoComm China. All education sessions are free and open to registered attendees, making it easy for your guests to join, learn, and engage without needing special passes or invitations.

I have an idea for a session, but I haven’t confirmed the availability of all the presenters/ panelists. Can I submit?

Yes. However, you will have to work quickly to obtain final confirmation from all speakers if your submission is selected. Participants will have two weeks to accept or decline the invitation. If they fail to confirm in this time period, the session will be replaced.  

Will my session be recorded?

Beijing InfoComm China education sessions and workshops are not recorded.

Can I record my own session?

If you would like to record your session, you must first obtain permissions from all the session speakers. You are also responsible for providing all crew and equipment needed for recording. Equipment storage is not available. Speakers have access to their classroom 30 minutes before their session begins, and additional time is not available for those wishing to record their session.
